The Station Hotel has a very convenient location—right across from the train station / Union Square and within walking distance of the city centre. The price is reasonable, which makes it appealing for budget travellers. However, I wouldn’t stay here again. The room showed clear signs of wear and tear, particularly the bathroom door, which was falling apart at the bottom, and missing grout in many of the floor tiles. The double bed was actually two singles pushed together at different heights, which made it uncomfortable. Because of its location, the hotel was very noisy, and it seemed there was little soundproofing between the windows and the road meaning we barely slept. Staff were friendly, but the reception area had an overpowering smell. Non-smokers will also find it unpleasant that people smoke right at the main entrance. Overall, while the location and price are good, the room condition, noise, and entrance environment mean I would not return.

Was in Garden room excellent for us and our dog. Staff were very friendly and helpful service was excellent. Had dinner at restaurant and impressed with the food A great place for a short break

We were in a room with one window facing a wall. However, the staff were very courteous and we had a restful sleep.

Comfortable and clean hotel but continuous buzzing noise heard in room all night.
