Affectionately known as 'The Treehouse', this unique property has some of the best views you can find in Durango. Climb the stairs to this perch in the sky... then enjoy the ample space with full kitchen, living room, dining alcove, 2 bedrooms, with 2.5 baths and deck with a view.

The entry level features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry area and plenty of closet space; upstairs welcomes you to a spacious living area, dining alcove, full kitchen and half bath AND fabulous views of the San Juan Mountains with refreshing mountain breezes. There are also 2 rollaway beds to accommodate up to 6 total guests.

**The unit is on the 2nd floor of the complex and requires climbing multiple sets of stairs to access (42 total stairs).**

Settle in with a selection from the bookshelves, watch the deer visit from the deck, or just sit and watch the sun set over the San Juan Mountains. Convenient location to downtown and Fort Lewis College campus, this is a perfect spot to base your adventures.

Convenient to great hiking trails; Hillcrest Golf Course; local bus stop in front of the property for easy access back and forth to downtown. Air conditioning during summer months; amenities on site offer community outdoor pool during the summer; hot tub year round and sauna.

Exploring around Durango

It was the perfect place to stay for all the national parks/monuments around Durango. The historic downtown was so picturesque. Enjoyed our stay in a lovely place. Even the all steps were bad!

Great location, we loved this place.

Plenty of parking, great location. The stairs get us sea level people out of breath, but it's well worth it. Ross was super quick to communicate. We hope to stay again!

Great place as advertised. Only negative is those 42 steps—it’s tougher to do carrying a suitcase. Clean, roomy and exactly as expected. Highly recommend!

Nice condo in good location

Comfortable and well equipped condo just 5 minutes drive from downtown. Communication with the property manager was excellent. We loved Durango. Excellent restaurants and bars. Mesa Verde National Park was well worth visiting.

Great Condo - Close to Downtown Durango

My husband and I enjoyed the stay at this condo. Spacious, had everything we needed and the beds were super comfortable. The condo is just a half mile drive to the downtown area in Durango, which is full of shops, restaurants and nightlife.

None of us had ever had such a clean place to stay! Joel was very responsive and helpful and the place was comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and spices too. This was our first experience with vrbo and it was worth it!

Durango stay

After spending the day in the railroad, it was nice to come home to a quiet, comfortable well-appointed apartment to cook and rest. Watched football, made gumbo, and enjoyed the family. Thank you for sharing the space!

Would have liked a little more honesty about how far the sauna and hot tub are from the condo bit of a walk if your soaking wet The condo itself is clean and very nice All the gadgets ya need in the kitchen although we did not utilize the kitchen for cooking just reheated some food but it even had aluminum foil which made cleanup very easy

Convenient to the college.

The condo location is convenient to St Lewis college and to the town central. The house was spacious, furnishing were lovely, the bed comfortable and the kitchen super well provisioned. The closet doors are falling off so it was difficult to hang clothing and there were cigarette package wrapping on the living room floor when we arrived. I loved seeing the mountains from the living room windows.

Lots of stairs.

My daughter and I stayed in one of the “tree house” units in Ferringway. We knew there would be stairs which was fine but the top landing was not well lit. I failed to see that there were two steps down to the landing at the top and stumbled. My knees took quite a hit. Ouch. Otherwise, the unit was nice and it was great to have a washer and dryer. Quiet neighborhood most of the time.

Great location

We were visiting to ride the train. The condo location was perfect. Everything was clean and comfortable. However—-even though we had read previous reviews of the steps we were not prepared for over the 40 steps up to the condo. If you are a senior or have mobility issues be aware the four of us struggled. Communications with the owner were excellent.

One of our FAVORITES

We've stayed in several VRBO homes and this is one of our favorites. The description was completely accurate but what it didn't mention is that the owners provided additional touches that we found invaluable. There was a bag of coffee near the coffee maker, a couple of laundry pods to use, extra roll-away beds and the bathrooms were spotless were some of our favorite details. My sister is already looking at booking this same home in the coming year. I will stay here again if going to Durango. No hotel in the area would provide a better stay than this home.

Cycling in Durango

We came for a cycling event in Durango. The place was perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked and included coffee. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. We had access to the pool and hot tub. It is about a 7 minute drive to downtown Durango, so close, but not a quick walk. It felt safe and quiet. The view from the living room is of the gorgeous snow-topped mountains.

Close to Downtown Durango - Lots of Stairs

We loved the location of this property and there was a lot of room. Only things to be aware of are that it is 42 steps up to the property which was a lot for a family with two kids and lots of stuff. The beds were comfortable and the living room was spacious. Window AC units vs central air so it was quite loud and the 2nd bedroom AC had to run all night just to keep the room at 72 degrees.

Ok. So the first thing you need to know - STAIRS. Lots of stairs. If you can't do stairs you probably won't like it here. With that out of the way, it was a very comfortable stay for my family. Nice rooms, nice beds. 2.5 bathrooms is great. Buddy, you need a new photographer for this listing, though. Your listing pics don't do this place or it's view justice.

Step up to the birdhouse

The listing was exactly what was advertised. Clean, spacious and safe are the words that come to mind. We stayed midweek and were greeted by some deer that were grazing feet away. They were the only ones around midday which made for a very quiet day. It was the end of September perfect weather so we used the spa and pool. Don’t have anything negative to report and I guess the only suggestion I can offer is to bring comfortable shoes due to the stairs. Host communication was hospitable and welcoming. I would recommend and would stay again.
