Good location, walking distance from old town and central Heidelberg. We found it weird how there was no staff or reception after 5pm. As soon as we arrived the washroom had a foul smell

This hotel has the perfect location. It's in the center of old town which makes it very convenient to walk everywhere. The room was well appointed; though, I'm not sure I understand the strange bathroom window to the bedroom. It felt a bit creepy. The mattress was comfortable, but the pillows were purgatorial. I would recommend this hotel, but I don't recommend the breakfast. For the price, I would expect eggs to be made to order. I did not like paying that much for watery eggs in a steam tray. As an American, I am unused to cold cuts and cheese for breakfast. So, with the eggs being poor, I chose to eat my breakfast elsewhere. There are a lot of better options nearby.

"Nice modern hotel. Only complaints- super hard bed (a Europe thing?), A.C. did not cool the room very well (they only allow a -3 celsius deviation by the guests), and the expensive restaurant was not great- two UNDERCOOKED Veggie burgers and one overcooked steak.
