"This was our first trip to Turks and Caicos. We traveled during the quiet season, late August into early September. We learned that the island is one of the low-key places to visit for the most part anyway and that was perfect for us. We went to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.
We had an ocean view room of the beach. It was stunning. The room was spacious. We had a junior suite. The kitchenette was convenient. The bathroom was huge, separate water closet, tub, and shower. The balcony had a table for in suite dining, as well as lounge chairs perfect for watching the sunrise over the ocean.
The resort staff was outstanding from the minute we checked in until we checked out. We were greeted with rum punch and given a tour of the grounds. Everything was explained to us in terms of what we would be interested in doing during our stay. There are restaurants on-site. The complementary breakfast was our favorite meal. We can’t say enough good things about the food. We were pampered from beach-side to pool-side. I booked a massage for my husband. The spa and fitness facility were top notch.
Because of the economy of the island overall, it was a little expensive. However, if you budget with this in mind, you won’t be surprised. We felt we got our money’s worth.
We attended the weekly Fish Fry which was a blast! Good food, music, and an opportunity to purchase souvenirs from the local vendors. We are planning our next visit already."
