"This place is quaint and peaceful! The staff is friendly and helpful. The elevator was only usable with an attendant for your clothes, which made going up and down stairs during the stay was rough but that was not the staffs fault. Parking is not free"

"The Birdhouse is a peaceful little house on the river! Very quiet and secluded, restaurants close by! We loved watching the birds and the boats go by! It's very dog friendly which we loved! Dana is a great host! We highly recommend this little gem of a place!"

"This was our first visit to Homosassa to scope out the area and attractions and are glad we decided to stay here. Clean, comfortable, and quiet; great place to just relax and enjoy the area at our own pace. Dining was a roll of the dice (we had no set plans), but we hit a jackpot every time. We went out to eat, got carry-out, and fetched groceries to prepare meals in the well-equipped kitchen. We did our exploration of the local area and were pleasantly surprised at the options we have to better plan a visit during the upcoming manatee season. We enjoyed our early evenings playing cards on the awesome back porch, occasionally catching a glimpse of the fish jumping. I watched football on the television as I sat in an adjustable lounge chair while my wife caught up on her reading, sitting by the water in back. This was a very relaxing but fruitful visit."

"The Hotel is a unique property, in a pristine “off the beaten path” in Homosassa. We were welcomed by very accommodating ‘Jonathan’. Our suite was half the hotel!!! If you are good with being in the woods, listening to owls, paddling, and exploring the area. This is a very special place. We recommend. BYOB, grill food, minor groceries etc. to make yourself comfortable. We will go back.☺️"

"We totally enjoyed the cottage and being able to walk out the sliding doors to sit by the river and or fish. Unfortunately it was so hot, we were not able to enjoy the tiki bar area. Really the only negatives to me was the lack of comfortable seating when trying to relax and watch TV, and the fact you can not the TV with the kitchen windows so bright with the placement of the TV. The shower door does need to be fixed as the water just comes running out onto the floor everywhere. Overall, it was a great place to relax and unwind."
