« The property is set in a stunning setting, opposite Blencathra, in a really quiet location. Unfortunately, however, the cottage has a rodent problem. Each morning we'd find mouse droppings underneath the fridge, on window ledges and by the sink. On leaving we also discovered mice had chewed through one of our bags. »

« What a lovely place in a beautiful location, west side of the Lake District. All the home comforts you could need including reclining sofa and a washing machine! Clean, comfortable and warm with excellent wifi connection. Thank you to the friendly hosts Colin and Lesley who were to hand if anything was needed but who were not intrusive or interferring at all. « This is a really lovely and immaculately maintained property, and one that provides and excellent base for exploring the Lake District. It is very well equipped and comfortable, and also nice and quiet - just the tonic if on a break. We enjoyed cooking and relaxing and also exploring the local area, which was new to us. « We enjoyed our stay at Kotel. Good location, good wifi connection. However we would have liked to have had an electric hob as with only a microwave cooking was rather limited. Also not easy to wash up as no plug in the sink. Fortunately there was an ice bucket I could use to wash up!!!. Crockery was also limited to 2 sets only.
