« We were in Big Rapids for the State golf tournament and stayed at the house with the 5 sets of parents. The house was well located and offered enough privacy for those that wanted it, and enough space for us to socialize together. The only negative comment that I can make is there wasn't enough comfy furniture for lounging with this big group. Everything else was great!! Thanks »

« This little house is a gem! We were a group of 7 adults- my husband & I, our 3 grown kids, & 2 of their others. There were just enough beds & we had ample space to move around. The house is very clean & well-stocked. The surrounding area is beautiful, peaceful, & quiet. We would love to return one day! »

« Great house for our family of 12. Very nice place to stay! We had plenty of room and liked the comfy beds and couch. Nicely decorating. Kids enjoyed the sandy beach area, fishing off the dock and going out on the lake with the paddle boat. »

« My husband and I stayed at Sean’s place for the weekend to attend a concert at the Soaring Eagle which was a short drive. We also went to downtown Clare to watch the Michigan game and that was a quick 5 minutes away. I fell in love with cabin and any concern that I had was answered quickly. But it could use some maintenance and organizing. The outside needs a good cleaning up as well. We wish that the TV would have received local stations. The fireplace kept going out and then we couldn’t get it...

« This was disappointing. The wooden doors wouldn’t close or lock. The patio table was too dirty to use. There was a lack of privacy between bedrooms witha window between. A mouse scurried across the floor the morning we were checking out. The nightlly rate was $139 but with all the fees, it was close to $700 for just 2 nights. I’m not sure the reason for the excessive fees. This place needs improvements before we would consider staying again. »

« My parents, brother, sister came from out of state for my son’s wedding. The lake was great with a dock. The wading, swimming area was sandy and free of algae. We floated in the water, fished off the dock. Caught a lot of fun large mouth bass, blue gill, and a pike. House was open and wonderful for many people who came to visit them during their stay. There were loons, saw a few bald eagles, and a lot of ducks. »

« The cottage was great! Sitting on the deck looking out over the river was the perfect way to start and end the day. Nice touch to provide firewood! The cottage was clean and comfortable for 4 adults. It had everything we needed for the weekend. »

« We stayed at this house 20 years ago. Since then there has been extensive work on the home that was much needed. We were pleasantly surprised to see all of the new and lovely updates. We will be back to enjoy it and highly recommend. »

« My family ( 2 adults and 4 children ranging from 4-8) had a wonderful two week stay. The house is stunning inside and outside. The main floor is very open plan with stunning views of the lake. We enioyed many beautiful sunrises. The outdoor area suited our family really well. The kids enjoyed building sandcastles, swimming and fishing off the dock. Kris was quick to answer any questions we had. I would definitely recommend choosing this home for your vacation. »

« Very spacious, clean, and the location was perfect. Loved that it had 2 bathrooms made it much easier for all that stayed. Loved walking out to the creek....so peaceful! Had a wonderful stay and will rent again if in the area. »

« Gary was a great host! Prompt responses to all all my questions. House is spacious and welcoming. Kitchen-well stocked with Dishes/Pots/Pans/Utensils. Beds-Comfortable and lots of them! Only critique is lack of space or a closet in one of the upstairs rooms. Guests used the extra beds to hold luggage but no where to hang anything. If all beds are needed for guests there is no extra room and only 1 small dresser. The property is well laid out. Love the big deck and all the outdoor space and...
