"The room is spacious, simplicity at its finest. The ONLY thing I wasn’t fond of, was the fact that my room had the fwy in as a backyard. Easily some of the best sleep I’ve had in a while, which, might be due to the traffic sounds, drowns out the brain noise. To be fair, the sound is faint, and it’s not excessive, just wasn’t what I was expecting. Outside of that the decor was very pretty. The staff was extremely friendly, everything is super clean. Definitely a perfect get away. And it’s 20 minutes from Malibu! I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND taking a shoreline drive to at very best Santa Monica. But Anza honestly the perfect starting point!"

"Front desk staff were very pleasant and polite. Having said that, the place is looking long in the tooth, and is very basic. Despite obviously having been painted fairly recently, I'm guessing, it did not hide the missing patch of paint in the room (hidden by a sticker), the bottom of the bathroom door looking very like something had been gnawing on it, and the strong sulphur smell from the bathroom sink every time water was run. I did not chance drinking water from the faucet. Added to that, very thin walls! One guest on one side obviously had a cough, and on the other side, music was clearly heard being played at 2:30 a.m., as well as other noises I did not want to be hearing! I did not sleep well either of the two nights of my stay."

"We stayed here for a special occasion as Hilton Honors members and booked directly through Expedia due to issues with the app/site. From the beginning, we were patient despite inconveniences. At check-in, we waited nearly 20 minutes for a new room because another guest had been given ours. We remained understanding and appreciative of the staff. The next two mornings we were woken up by dogs barking on our floor. We are dog owners ourselves and understand things happen, but after the second morning we politely asked the front desk if pet owners could simply be reminded to be mindful of noise. Instead of addressing the concern professionally, the employee compared dogs to children and repeatedly said it would not be fair to the other guests to address it. He also admitted the hotel does not accurately track all pets because not every owner registers them. The interaction became uncomfortable after he responded, “What do you want me to do about it?” My husband and I felt dismissed and disrespected, so we thanked him and left. At checkout, the same female employee immediately addressed me by my room number before I said anything. The interaction felt intimidating, no receipt was provided, and we ultimately left disappointed enough to contact customer service. As longtime Hilton Honors members, this experience was far below expectations."

"The TV did not work, I let the front desk know and someone was supposed to come fix it but no one came. There were bugs in the bathroom and customers service was not the best. "

"The property was clean and as advertised. Great amenities, expansive views. Not far from the coast or the 101 but very quiet area."

"Room was well laid out and accommodating but needed a bit of upkeep. The fit and finish is worn down and the furniture is long in the tooth (fabric). The TV was not smartTV and considerably small for the room. There was no sponge for dishwashing and not enough storage ware. Great location, next door to Trader Joe's. Ingress and egress was congested as there is only one way in and out and it's shared with Trader Joe's traffic. The shareholders need to invest in bringing it up-to-date and it'll be a 4/5 easily."
