"NIce quant little hotel with 6 rooms total. Half hour drive from Tamarindo, but on basically same beach but seperated by a river. Small but nice pool, 4 minute walk to long and beatiful beach. Small upstairs restaurant was nice and food was good. Great service and communication from staff. Very freindly staff indeed. 2-3 little restaurants and bars nearby within walking distance. Low key quiet area surrounded by many upscale homes. Security guard at gate entering the neighborhood. Good pace to...
"Our room was absolute barebones !!!! No chair no hanging cupboard, no night lamps, no tv, no tea or coffee facilities, no decoration of any kind, two wooden boxes for bed stands !!! No cups or glasses for water. Bathroom the same, bad smell from shower, no water pressure, toilet cistern faulty, had to open tank to get floater valve to work. No cupboard beneath the sink, bordered up, no place to put toiletries, tiles unfinished in shower !!!!"
"Perfect space to stay on Playa Grande. Right across the street from beach access let’s you be at the beach in a few steps. Also solid swimming pool area with WiFi to help get remote work done while visiting. "

"We returned to Costa Rica for our babymoon after vacationing in the Arenal Volcano region for our honeymoon. Would definitely recommend this resort. It was our first time visiting a Riu, and we loved the grounds, the staff was great, and there were a good number of selections for food. Some reviews mention the lounge chair availability at the beach, but we had no problem getting spots down there. It is a few minute walk from the pool and restaurant area, but we enjoyed being able to enjoy a relaxing environment on the beach which was always less crowded. There is staff that will set up lounge chairs for you and servers do come down for drinks as well. Overall positive experience and would stay here again next time."
