This is a small family-run-type hotel, probably having 3-5 rooms, if that, for staying. It is some form of art house. And there is a gallery next to it. There are two ladies, Lorena & Thelma who run it and they are on site. They are delightful people. Lorena speaks good English, which is rare in Brazil and is ultra-helpful and nice. She showed me the ATM/cash machine on arrival which is nearby (the R$24 convenience fee of ATMs are ubiquitious, it seems, in Rio, at least). The rooms are clean,...

Absolutely amazing stay in Santa Teresa neighbourhood. Stayed for two nights, and dined in for all meals. Great cuisine, service, and unique wine list. Art Deco-inspired gem, with breathtaking views. Heaven!

Their breakfast is amazing. Though, location is far from everything but safety is top tier. Very clean and rooftop pool is gorgeous. It gets very loud so I hope the facility will implement curfew for it’s guests so other people don’t get bothered.

The reception staff, housekeeper, and servers at breakfast were very customer focused, friendly, and welcoming. For an older building it is well maintained and has all amenities necessary to be comfortable. The location essentially at the juncture of two famous beaches is excellent.

The hotel is very well placed in a five minutes walk from SDU airport. Has an incredible view from the balcony towards Guanabara Bay, Aterro Park and Sugar Loaf. Price is reasonable and it looks like everything is either new or renovated. Perfect for short stays, if you need to be close to the downtown airport or either Cinelândia, with all the theatres, museums and Rio history.

The staff were very friendly and courteous. The area of the resort was Sant Teresa which is an artsy area and easy to get around. Transportation is very easy to get around with uber and trolly.
