Zócalo, aussi connu sous le nom de Jardin Álvaro Obregon, est la place principale de la ville de Manzanillo. Elle date du 19esiècle et a toujours été le carrefour des activités locales en ville. Ce sont les Espagnols qui ont construit les nombreuses maisons impressionnantes qui entourent la place et lui donnent cet air colonial et imposant. Traversez la place et asseyez-vous sur un banc ou à un endroit tranquille pour vous détendre. Une fontaine anime agréablement le centre de la place vous pouvez vous y asseoir pour vous rafraîchir. Certains des restaurants les plus réputés de Manzanillo se trouvent dans Zócalo. Installez-vous à une terrasse et commandez un dîner de fruits de mer locaux tout en observant l'activité de la baie. Explorez les ruelles autour de la place et descendez l'Avenida Mexico, la principale rue commerçante de Manzanillo. Vous y trouverez toute une variété de magasins et de boutiques où acheter des articles de luxe et des boutiques. Revenez à Zócalo dans la soirée, la place est agréablement fraîche et tranquille, parfaite pour une promenade romantique ou une autre sortie au restaurant. Zócalo est situé au centre de Manzanillo, à une courte distance de taxi des principales plages et attractions.
