I would definitely come back to check out the little town, but also to continue the amazing and scenic hiking a short drive away. The PCT crosses right through the ares! Be aware that it is a mountain cabin. Everything works, and everything is clean, but it is a rustic. Specifically, there are tricks to getting a hot shower, but don't give up the water heater does work. They just did a whole bunch of improvements, and it made the cabin very comfortable.
