You'll find a few small guesthouses and eco-cabins dotted around the cenote, often within walking distance. The main road through the village, Calle 21, will lead you directly to the cenote entrance and the cooperative's facilities, which include a restaurant serving local dishes.

This location is particularly well-suited for travellers and couples seeking an authentic, tranquil experience close to nature. Staying near the cenote means you can enjoy it early in the morning or late in the afternoon when it's less crowded, offering a more peaceful swim.

The best time to go to Yokdzonot is during the dry season, which runs from November to April.

During these months, you'll experience pleasant temperatures and minimal rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the cenotes and the surrounding natural beauty. The weather is typically sunny with comfortable humidity levels, superb for outdoor activities like swimming, cycling, and hiking. This period also avoids the more intense heat and humidity of the summer months and the hurricane season.

For those looking to avoid larger crowds, visiting in November or late April can be a good option. The weather is still excellent, but you'll find fewer visitors compared to the peak months of December to March, which align with many international holidays.
