"Excellent location. Right on the beach and there’s a nice ocean front gravel trail that goes around the rocky area and connects back to the sandy beach when it resumes. Property is well maintained. My only complaint was the mattress. It was ok but uneven. Either older or never rotated. But still reasonably comfortable. "

"The cafe and restaurant onsite was nice but very slow service. It took 30 minutes for a coffee. We waited for a server to come but ended up getting breakfast elsewhere because she didn’t come over to us. It seemed to be the case for multiple people. The room was nice, although small. Beautiful ocean view. Nice pool, sauna, and fitness center. Parking is limited especially on weekends. Great access to the beach. We didn’t see a lot of water bottle refill stations. Upon check-in they said I didn’t book a pet friendly room but definitely did. Although they made an exception, the manager guilt tripped me and kept making comments how they’re making an exception, which I found was very unprofessional. The morning manager upon check out was very lovely and nice so maybe the night time manager had a bad day. Overall, I don’t think I’d stay here again for the price. I enjoy the BW and the amenities are way better. But if you’re going for more of a classy aesthetic, this is a great place. "

"Clean rooms badly need some maintenance. Doors don’t fit well. Windows are fogged. Beautiful view. No breakfast or lunch. But that was fine. "

"This is probably one of, if not the, best property on the middle Oregon coast. Rooms are spacious, ocean front, with pathways to the bluff. The property is set well back from 101, so it's quiet. There's a walking path from the property all the way into Yachats. The lobby is interesting--big wood burning fireplace, lots of tables spread all around. Breakfast is included, but by reservation. It was a step up from continental and served by a charming staff. We tried to use the spa but didn't book early enough. The location is perfect: an hour to Depot Bay and Lincoln City to the north; 45 minutes south to Florence. Two amazing lighthouses, one in either direction (Heceta Head and Yaquina). The area is beyond gorgeous. If I was going to have an issue: the shower. The water pressure was dreadful. Dispensers with shower gel only, and then not enough water pressure to get it off. But then I looked out the window and forgot all about it. "

"This hotel is located pretty far down at the end of a road, ways out of the main town. The shower drain was clogged with hair and sand and hairties. There was cigarette ashes in one of the 2 beds. These beds are advertised as queens but they are "fulls" and the staff is very rude. I did nkt have much interaction with the staff but when in the lobby i observed them on many occasions treating others poorly. "

"The location is amazing. The staff are wonderful. The room was super clean. Highly recommend as long as you don’t need a bunch of amenities (which I do not). "

"This was my third stay at the Silver Surf motel, I just love it! My two kids and I have been meeting up with my mom and aunt every year in adjoining rooms. It's very rustic, so if your looking for luxury, this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for a rustic, take cozy place to call home right on the beach, look no further! This place has comfy beds, and functional kitchenette making it feel more like a rental house than a motel.The kids love the indoor pool and the adults look forward to a nice long hot tub soak after a blustery day on the beach (we go in December). The lobby has ganes and videos you can borrow. Breakfast id included, which is appreciated. Pretty basic, no waffle maker but descent pre-packaged food and a couple different cereals to choose from. Definitely recommend, and will absolutely stay again. "
