« This was our second time at Gulley Creek, and once again we really enjoyed our visit. Our hosts are so friendly and helpful. The home is very clean and stocked with everything we need, and they even supply some little snacks! Perfect place to stay that is real close to the Blue Ridge parkway and Galax VA. We enjoy sitting out on the deck and watching the birds and listening to the creek out back. It is just such a peaceful stay.We're already planning our next visit. Highly recommend! »

« This. Place. Is. Awesome! The pictures do not do it justice. Amazing location far from civilization. Great place to go to unplug. I wish we would have had more time to spend there but we were just passing through and only stayed one night. Whether you want to do your best impersonation of Henry David Thoreau or get back to basics with the kids you cannot go wrong with this property. The owner is a really nice guy as well. »

« Beautiful property. Farmhouse reminded me of my grandparents 1890's farmhouse. I enjoyed the historical, mountainous feel of the home and location. It is nice staying at a location that isn't the cookie cutter style that has become the norm. »

« This cabin was the perfect size for our family of four. We were in town for the New River Trail races (I ran the 50k) and we enjoyed the map of the trail on the dining table. The kitchen was stocked and the snacks and K cups were appreciated. There is a trail down to the river (not for those with limited mobility) and it was a fun adventure finding the markers in the trees. The property manager was excellent and helped turn on the fireplace, which was my favorite feature since we were...

« very clean and quaint! The cottage had everything you could possibly need and was well stocked with supplies . We did use the washing machine and it did not spin clothes very well. We had to hand wring them before drying. It was the retreat we were looking for. »

« Our stay here was just perfect! You can not stay any closer to Stone Mountain State Park and the amenities and property are just wonderful. A wonderful, cozy, clean cabin in a perfect spot. Could not ask for more. Property owners are easy to reach and have ensured that your stay will be a vacation that is comfortable and feels like a vacation from arrival to departure! We will be staying here again in the future! »
