"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Talkeetna Wilderness Lodge. We'd been traveling in Alaska for about ten days and wanted a quiet break before moving on. Our cabin was a perfect solution. We rested, walked the trails, watched the nearby river, and enjoyed the screened porch. After a cloudy day, we peaked outside that evening to find the aurora borealis making a show overhead. We grabbed chairs and watched from the nearly pitch-dark cabin area for nearly an hour before clouds moved in. What a great experience! The hosts were friendly and helped us to feel at welcome in their forest home. "

"Original booking was for a lodge room but owners upgraded me to a cabin at no extra cost. Super cute cabin. No frills but comfortable. It is not within walking distance of Talkeetna, so I do recommend having a vehicle. There is a dog kennel somewhere in the neighborhood with lots of barking but did quiet down in the night and had no trouble sleeping. Hosts were very nice. I would absolutely recommend for a quick stay at an affordable price."

"The cabins were excellent. Homely, high spec, detached with parking out front. Mike the Owner would have picked us up from the train station if we’d asked and dropped us there once leaving, although it was only a 9 minute walk. The cabin had heating, a ceiling fan, two large double beds, a kitchenette and great shower in the bathroom. There was a rocking chair plus table & 2 chairs in the room too. Nice fluffy towels and shampoo/conditioner. If we ever decided to go to Talkeetna again, we’d definitely stay there again."

"Kids were 4 and 6 but are used to cabin ladders. We all had the best time!! The property is so clean and well taken care of. Sheets were so soft! It’s tucked away and feels like you’re out in nature. I don’t know how they fit so much into a “tiny” house but it was perfect and had everything we could have asked for. Also easy access to local trails "

"We found Jenni to be extremely friendly and helpful. We even got fresh cooked cookies on arrival which were super yummy. Check in was super quick and easy, plenty of room for parking, room was very clean, neat and tidy. We were very happy with this room and location. Would definately stay here again and would recommend this hotel."
