« While the surrounding properties were typical in Fairbanks, the accommodations at North Star were great. The owners were attentive, reaching out throughout my stay, to make sure all was well. The rooms were clean, comfortable and tastefully designed. The king size bed was so welcoming and comfortable as well…I would book this bnb again, simply for the great night’s sleep. « My sister and I booked this location for our Alaskan adventure. It was perfect. We each had our own room, It was clean, comfortable. The host was responsive. She had coffee, creamer, tea, towels, hairdryer everything we would need for our stay. The location was great for everything we wanted to do. »

« The apartment is clean and comfortable with fun, eclectic decor. The bed was comfortable, linens nice and the ability to adjust the temperature was perfect. Lisa is an amazing hostess and her attention to detail made our stay incredible. She went above and beyond in helping to orientate us prior to our trip to ensure we made the most of the Fur Rondy. She even left out programs and maps to help us get going as soon as we arrived. In every way she made the stay welcoming and memorable. »

« Hotel is a vintage building. Room was small but very clean. Bathroom was vintage but water pressure and temp were fine. It took awhile to get into the building and reach our room because we couldn’t get someone to answer the phone and give us the entry code to the building and our room. Picture on website was not an accurate representation of our room. Would not recommend if you have difficulty climbing steps. »

The only glitch was in the initial booking with VRBO. Shortly after successfully booking it, the manager contacted us to say that an error had been made, leading it to be double-booked. « I really enjoyed my two night stay here. The place is set up for only one person, which was fine because it was just me, but it is set up very nicely! It was basically priced much better than any local hotels, but much nicer than a hotel and they don’t have an outrageous cleaning fee. I will definitely be coming back. »

« This was a great location to use for day trips out of Anchorage. It was close to everything we wanted to see and felt like a home away from home. The space was very clean and adorable. Don’t let the fact that the space is above a garage. It was never an issue. Would highly recommend this location and will definitely stay here again. »
