Macdonald Burlington Hotel

Burlington Arcade/126, Birmingham - Map
"A good hotel close to Birmingham New St. station."
I have rated my overall stay as good. The room was very good and spacious, the hotel facilities good (although speed of wifi not great) and maintenance was to a good standard. BUT my stay was marred by being woken at 04.30am by the sounds of bins being emptied and large heavy objects being moved around. My room was at the back overlooking Stephenson Street. I recognise that to a certain extend the noise issue is outside of the hotel's control but it should be of a concern if guests are not getting a good night's sleep. Can you please speak to the relevant bodies and ask if they would show more consideration or consider better sound insulation on the windows.

"Bucolic Idyll"
Came to Eynsham Hall to discover a well-managed and friendly staff with magnificent country location yet within close distance of Oxford, Blenheim Palace and many good pubs and restaurants. However, within hotel grounds you have gym, pool, sauna, bar, good restaurant and friendly service - so whether you want to visit locally or just relax Eynsham hall is a great week-end destination.

"Enjoyable Stay"
We spent two nights here & really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious & comfortable and the hotel was clean & tidy. All the staff were very friendly, professional & helpful. Excellent breakfast & the food in the Twisted Boot was great too. We have already booked for later in the year when we are back in the area. Not far from Stratford-upon-Avon so a good base.

"Close to ICC Birmingham Hall"
Staff were especially pleasant to talk to and willing to help when asked, the only real trouble I had with the room '503' on floor 5 was that the toilet wouldn't flush properly. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and found the room pleasant.

Great location and hotel, only thing wrong was part of the hotel was in the middle of a refurbish and the room we had was lovely but needed a refresh.

"Time travel"
I didn't watch much TV - because the resolution was from the nineties. They gave me a steak knife - that I needed to saw through the chips. How can you still be offering Nescafé in 2017? The staff were as helpful as could be, working in a creakingly ageing organisation.

"Excellent hotel though a small walk"
The Hotel La Tour has excellent quality rooms and modern convenience for a good price. Highly recommend the restaurant as well. Location is slightly off central Birmingham though convenient to the Bullring. Would def stay there again.
