"The location and area are wonderful. The property COULD be a gem, but it is in terrible disrepair. The house inside, while perhaps not outfitted for people who cook a lot, is decent. But when we checked in, the exterior was a shambles. Grass half cut and lawnmower left on the sidewalk, gardens not weeded or cared for, pool cold and dirty, hot tub not working, and not clean, no propane tank for the bbq, the dock in disrepair to the point of being dangerous. "I did not understand the directions to enter our room because the email referenced the name of the room, but itonly had a number. We did figure it our, but I believe that issue is fixed now! The room was really great. We loved the location, the decor. We were repeat visitors to Alert Bay- last time we camped- this was much more fun"
