« We just wanted a quiet get away for a couple of days close to the North Cascades. We had hoped to see the fall foliage but it turned out we came a couple weeks early for the best of that. We stopped by the ranger station there in Darrington, and then drove up to Rockport and on to Newhalem to see what fall leaves we could. The cabin was quiet, clean and cozy. We loved sitting in the hot tub on the back deck and also sitting beside the Sauk River in the back of the property. »

« Beautiful views, plent of space, very private but close to towns and amenities. Road and railroad traffic wasn't too loud and not bothersome at all. A llittle disappointed to find we could not use the inside fireplace, but the cabin was very cozy otherwise. »
