Fantastic Location and Staff
This hotel is in a perfect location for a visit to Venice. It is literally around the corner from the train station and the vaporetto stations and ticket sales are just steps away. With that being said, you might think that it would be noisy, but you would be wrong. The hotel is peaceful and quiet, with a beautiful courtyard in which to relax after a long day of sightseeing in Venice.
The rooms, while small, were everything we needed. The bathrooms were lovely and well appointed. The beds were a little firmer that I personally would have liked, but others in our group (10 people total) thought they were perfect. This hotel also has air conditioning in each room which was greatly appreciated after a hot day in Venice.
There is a very comfortable lounge area off the lobby with couches and chairs and also a bar. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there was a very nice one just down the alley where we had a wonderful lunch.
The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have ever seen. They had fruit and yogurt, meats, cheeses, breads, cereals and so many pastries that we didn't have time to try them all. Several types of juices were offered as well as coffee and tea.
I will also add that we had a problem with our reservation (an issue with a credit card that was used to reserve the rooms) and the hotel staff (especially Fabio) worked with me to resolve it to ensure that our reservation was confirmed even though we had made the reservation through Expedia.
