"Lovely hotel. My only complaint was the bathroom lighting. It was fairly dark and challenging to apply make up. Otherwise it was very clean and a very well run hotel. Excellent staff and room was very comfortable. "
"Well located on Grand Via, with many shops and restaurants nearby. Major sites within walking distance and good access to Metro. Roof terrace and bar available in afternoon & evening. "

"It was not my first time at a Barcelo hotel and my expectations were not disappointed, quite the opposite.
Check-in was smooth, was given an upgrade which was greatly appreciated.
The whole place is spotless and everything functions extremely efficiently, staff was amazing throughout in all areas. There was nothing I asked for that I did not receive with a smile and I am fussy.
Food was delicious at breakfast and dinner (room service offers the same dishes which I loved and enjoyed as a lot of other hotels do not). Quality was second to none and dishes were perfectly prepared as asked.
Room was spacious, beautifully appointed as you would expect from the photos, terrace was greatly enjoyed and cleaned daily too, bed seriously comfortable, and the pillow menu would cater to most tastes I should think. And all the little things that make a stay great were there too, nice toiletries, amazing spacious shower, bathrobes and slippers, etc.
Location was great for both shopping and sightseeing, a lot of them within walking distance (maybe not for all, I do walk a lot), but at least a couple of tube station in close proximity, if needed.
Needless to say I would not only highly recommend it but would not look further for my next stay in Madrid.
Lastly I would just want to thank both the staff who made the entirety of my stay absolutely wonderful, but also congratulate the management, everybody seemed genuinely happy to work there. "
"Our stay was great, but we were frustrated to find out that the airport van only goes once an hour, and will leave without you even if you asked for it. We were a minute late and it was gone. A cab was expensive."
