« When we arrived there were no rooms available, even though we had a prepaid guarenteed reservation through Orbitz, and we were turned away. When we requested a refund via Orbitz it was denied. We were out aproximately $100 for the room and $25 for a taxi to another hotel. The only positive was that the Hotel clerk did help us find another hotel. I chated with and Orbitz agen for about 15 - 20 minutes who was virtually no help at all. »

« C’est un endroit très très bien géré . À quelques pas de la magnifique plage de West Bay où on peut faire du snorkeling extraordinaire. Les petits déjeuners inclus sont délicieux. Les bungalows sont assez loin les uns des autres pour se sentir en privé. L’intérieur est très propre, salle de bain et chambre inclus. Dès qu’on demande quoi que ce soit on a une réponse tout de suite. Et voyageant seule je me suis beaucoup amusée avec Rouleau le chien, Malibu et Batman les deux gentils perroquets,...

![From San Pedro Sula we hopped a short flight down to the island of Roatan.  Our original intention was to stay a few days and then head back to the mainland to see some of the other sites Honduras has to offer.

We got to West End and only left to catch our flight back to the States.  It was so low key, the water and sand amazing and our room with a porch and hammock with an ocean view was very affordable!

The scuba diving here was really good and cheap.  If you can't be bothered with that, at least bring your snorkel kit; it's nearly as good as the diving.

![East of the main road in West Bay Roatan, lives a treasure trove of beach bars and restaurants for every flavor.  The Argentinian Grill has a great Happy Hour (Hora Feliz) with amazing food and a beachy open air atmosphere which is perfect for people watching or taking in the spectacular West End Sunsets.  

Please note than in October (low/rainy season) many locals go on Holiday and some businesses close for the month(s).

"Hello Arca. It was our first experience at Arca Roatan. It should not be the last. We really appreciated the calm, cleanliness and mostly, the quality of the service. Food is good, bed comfortable (although, you could offer down pillows, high end hotels do that), ideally located, clean and personnel is helpful and smiling. We loved it. We give you 9/10\. We’d give you 10 but the complete absence of drawers and the extremely limited place in the wardrobe forced me to keep my stuff in my suitcase the whole week. I, of course, left the available space to my wife. Also, Roatan is a diving spot. We go there to dive, so if you could offer hangers, or secured storing places for our gears, it’d be great. In summary, great place you have there. Keep it up"

"It's a nice place, a bit off center so to me it was cool. Service people were nice. But there was construction work everyday starting at 7am so a bit noisy. These workers were not trans- friendly. Will recommand to friends, but not to lgbtq friends."
