Town of Scipio Vacation Packages

We stayed two nights in July. The rate was pretty good compared to other places and the room was basic but clean. The hotel is changing owners later this year, and I think that led to less attention by the departing owners. Front desk service was uneven--some workers were attentive, others ignoring guests or not there at all. The breakfast was not so good--eggs were cold, waffle maker not working, coffee downright bad. If you like cereal, your one choice is Sugar Frosted Flakes. We ended up eating out. Only one elevator is working. Bathroom in lobby did not have soap. No snacks for sale, as is pictured on the website. Floors 2 and 3 are being remodeled, which did not bother us on floor 6, BUT on Sunday morning there was a flood of water coming through the ceiling in the lobby. In short, we would give it a generous grade of "OK."

We had an amazing stay and can't wait to come back! The cabin was absolutely beautiful—spotlessly clean, cozy, and surrounded by peaceful forest views. Having lake access made our stay even more special, whether it was relaxing by the water or taking in the quiet scenery. One of the highlights was the spa. The sauna, cold plunge, and wellness spaces were the perfect way to unwind after spending time outdoors. Everything about the property encourages you to slow down, disconnect, and enjoy nature. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful cabins, lake access, and wonderful spa amenities, Vanderkamp is the perfect destination. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning our next visit!

The pool closed was a bummer.

Before I made the reservation it clearly say has breakfast included. When we checked in the lady at front say clearly breakfast it’s included from 6:30am-10:30am. Next day when we went downstairs they told us we have to pay an extra fee for breakfast that in our reservation was not included it. MAYBE BREAKFAST WAS NOT INCLUDED JUST BECAUSE TO BE LATINO
