The road to the home was quite literally a bit bumpy but other than that, everything was perfect. Home, property managers, and of course - the views. Everything was straightforward and the whanau and I appreciate the stellar service provided.

Great views from hilltop
Only stayed 1 night. Plenty of room for a family for a longer stay. Has everything you need to be self contained. The drive way up could be a challenge to some drivers. If you have an SUV not a problem. Te Puka hotel was great for a meal and a few beers. Stan the owner was great.

King of the Hill
Beautiful, peaceful, tranquil with views of the bay that otherwise could not be seen. King of the Hill is my title, because thats how i felt driving up to this peaceful retreat nestled in the foot hills. Eastcoast hospitality at its best. The hosts were perfect 💯 they were attentive when needed and invisible the rest of the time. Just what i want in a host. I would highly recommend Macrocapa Heights.

Amazing weekend one of the best yet this house and owners took my long awaited weekend to the next level I can not thank you enough!!! One experience I will never forget they are friendly and leave you at peace to have your holiday!!! Everything we needed at our fingertips didn’t even flick on the tv as to much to see and feel there! As just simply the beauty that we were surrounded with. Meet afew locals who come up and got a bit rowdy. But a fun rowdy and never once did the owners moan!!! Friggin amazing 🤩 can not recommend a better place to be and better people to host thank you so so much still thrilled and talking lots about our highway 35 holiday!!! Love from shaz and sez we will be back 💙💙

We loved our stay here. The bach sits over Tokomaru bay and leads to hours spent on the swinging chair admiring the views. I could see a family having a fantastic holiday here, plenty to do and see on the farm and great sunny days on the beach. Bach fully equipped and the hosts super helpful. Fantastic information folder giving the history of the region, a real plus

This was a super interesting stay.the location is beautiful the owner super friendly and helpful. The 2 br unit spacious the only criticism the place was not the cleanest overall a good stay.

Loved Tokomaru, but bnb disappointing.
Loved Tokomaru, fabulous beach and drift wood. The Te Puka Tavern had a great atmosphere. Beautiful meals and met a lot of very friendly people, couldn’t fault at all. The bnb was very disappointing. Nice sea views but windows and deck very dirty. Very basic inside, our group of 4 found that it definitely was not value for money.

Amazing Views
Roomy. Quiet area, just the wind and the animals outside making any noise. Easy to book and check in. The street sign at the turn off is missing but the directions were clear enough that this didn't matter. Tour of the goldfish business was very interesting. Some of the cutlery drawers were a little messy with splashes from cooking by previous guests. Plentiful towels.

Absolutely beautiful. Lovely warm fire greeted us, as we checked in after our wedding at the Te Puka tavern. Just, amazing ocean and mountain views and great accommodation. 😃

It was so good that we asked to stay another night during a very busy season
Our host Vicky was was charming. She took my wife for a tour of her fascinating fish ponds, gave me and my sister a lot of information about the history of Tokomaru Bay while we al spent the evening together with a glass of wine overlooking a spectacular view of the bay.

Beautiful location on hill overlooking the entire Bay. Super comfortable with toastie warm fire all set for you. Friendly welcome and hugely informative about local history and environment. Recommend!

Peace, quiet and tranquillity
Property sits atop a hill at Waima end of Tokomaru Bay with beautiful views of the bay, surrounded by bush & farmland. On arrival I was met & greeted by Theresa who showed me into the flat. The accommodation was nice and homely. A home away from home. A prefect place to just stop & slow down to get away from the rat race. Kitchen is well stocked with the basics. I loved it here & wished I could've stayed longer. I look forward to my next visit.

Great views of Tokomaru Bay. Tidy and spacious accommodation. Bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately the weather wasn't very summery, but it was neat watching the rain coming through the bay below us.

Great property with stunning views .... and regular visits from the friendly, resident dog are a great bonus! Unfortunately, we didn't have the time to check out the goldfish farm properly with a tour. but it looked very interesting.
