"While our initial reaction was surprise as this is a large bedroom in what looks to be a remodeled rooming house in the downtown core, we soon were won over by the clean bright room. There is a keurig, a small microwave and fridge so you will most likely have to go out to eat. The location is fantastic. "I will start this off by saying the front desk staff that was on duty during my check in was polite and did the best to find a solution to the issues. Upon checking into the first room I noted the sheets had burn holes from cigarettes on the tip sheet and the fitted sheet was also soiled with unknown stains. The second room upon entering i immediately turned to leave due to smell... it was then i had noticed a thumb print on the wall beside the door that looked to be blood. There was also a giant glob of something ground into the carpet of that room. See photos. Sheets are of room one stains are of room 2. I did finally end up getting a suitable room that was clean. That room if i was given from the start this would be a completely different review. I am glad i got the first 2 rooms as i will not be supporting this establishment in the future regardless of the prices of the room. This hotel should be under 100 per night.. do better management. Wyndham you should investigate this property as it is a stain not only on the sheets and floor but on your brand. I would avoid this hotel and either stay somewhere else in the city or drive an hour more and stay in a cute motel on the other side of the city "

"Overall, my stay had a lot of positives. The building itself is beautiful and full of character. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were friendly. My room was large, spacious, and nicely renovated. Although the room was in the basement, it really didn’t feel like it because there were several large, low windows that brought in lots of natural light. Unfortunately, there were some issues with the room. As soon as I arrived, I noticed a strong smell of sweat. When I looked at the bedding, every pillowcase and the sheets had dog hair on them. It made me question whether the sheets had been changed, or if they had been washed with with excessive dog hair and a lot of it remained stuck to the bedding. There were also visible stains on the sheets. In addition, the actual pillows themselves seemed like they needed to be washed because they had an unpleasant sweat odour. Because of this, I ended up sleeping in my clothes on top of the bed. I'm also not the type of person to call the front desk and cause a scene over issues, while I was definitely unhappy with the condition of the bedding, I tend to just make do with what I’m given and carry on. That said, this hotel really does have a lot going for it. With more attention to housekeeping details, this place could easily be an excellent stay. The hotel should also reconsider allowing pets in their establishment. It truly feels like a hotel with a lot of potential, and just needs some fine-tuning."

"Parking is good , room was clean but the walls were discoloured the bedding falling apart. I was expecting more from a newer hotel. It was however very clean and quiet. The buffet couldn’t keep up no regular coffee fruit depleted. Overall good selection though."
