« A perfect place to stay after a long day's walk on the Nidderdale Way. The appartement was lovely and warm when we arrived and enjoyed a good hot shower in the shower room. The kitchen was small but everything we needed to make breakfast before starting the next leg of the walk, The bed was very comfortable and had a good night's sleep. Had a good meal and a couple of good pints in the Crown Inn which was only a 2 minute walk away. »

« This is not a luxury house. Cheap second hand uncomfortable furniture, a smelly oven that may not have been cleaned for years (if ever???) and crockery that we needed to wash before we used it. We are not fussy people, but clean and comfortable should be a bare minimum.... Worst of all though was a chirping smoke alarm on the first floor landing, indicating a dead battery. On closer inspection, there wasn't even a battery fitted!! I offered to replace it if the owner couldn't arrange it for...

"Excellent accueil, une belle chambre, propre avec une literie de qualité. Le petit déjeuner est inclus, à l'ancienne où on commande ce que l'on souhaite (des oeufs, du bacon, des saucisses, etc...) et on est servi à table ! A noter, même si ça n'a pas été un problème pour nous, pas d'ascenseur. Parking disponible à l'arrière de l'hôtel un gros + en Angleterre. Idéalement situé pour visiter Saltaire et se balader le long du canal."
