« The cottage was attractively decorated and furnished and was very well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The information handbook was comprehensive.It was very clean and well maintained and was also in a wonderful location with beautiful scenery all around it.The only downside was the bathroom and the lack of shower screen and wall mounted shower. »

« We had a lovely stay at The Old Barn, it’s well equipped, quiet and dog friendly. The parking worked well, we have a 4x4 and a tow bar mounted bike rack. We also appreciated having a secure shed for our bikes. The neighbours are friendly and made us feel welcome, we are planning to return to the cottage to explore the area further. My only comment is about recycling as we couldn’t find a recycling bin. But we did locate and use the local recycling facility, which is at The Reeth Dales Centre. »

« Every detail spot on. Beautiful furnishings, cosy environment with quality bedding, comfy beds and fluffy towels. Hot tub was amazing with great views. Home made cake and loaf with eggs and all essentials to get you started. Well equipped kitchen, fab showers and toiletries. Can’t fault in any way. Coming back soon. »

« This is a lovely property, so well equipped, so many items which we have usually had to take wit us or buy on arrival are provided. The weather when we were there was quite wet for some of the time and also chilly but the cottage was always warm. It was immaculately clean and very comfortable. Add to that the lovely welcome gift awaiting us was most generous. The countryside in the area is beautiful, lovely views from the property and good walks close by. « A fantastic get away from it all.Waking up every morning to the sounds of the sheep & lambs bleating in the distance with the bees buzzing among the garden flowers with the birdsong and the magnificent views across Swaledale was absolutely idyllic.The cottage is very welcoming with homely decoration. The hosts have provided lots of information about things to do in the Dales as well as lots of information about walking routes. We didn't need to venture far from the peace & quiet of Rubbing House...
