"Brilliant location. The Deputy Manager was very helpful and efficient. Breakfast was self serve and was delicious and plentiful. Parking outside the hotel is avaliable for 4 hours max during certain times (pay at meter), however you can purchase a 24 hour permit from Reception for £6. We'd definitely stay again. "Room was well-appointed, of a decent size and with a refurbished bathroom. Housekeeping staff friendly and efficient. The Lee Wood has always been one of my favourite hotels in Buxton. Only complaint was that it didn’t snow - which is hardly the fault of the hotel!"

"Nice and comfortable house for a 2 night stay with friends. Very close to plenty of restaurants and pubs. The kitchen could do with a few additions to get you started - dishcloth and washing up liquid not provided and no dishwasher so we washed the dishes which is fine. No corkscrew and not sure about the rear door and windows being locked and no keys apparent? Beds were clean and comfy. The shower was leaking from next to the hose connection. Heating was very good . "
