Hotel is budget friendly and on the beach. The water is a bit of a distance. The pools are awesome and clean! You have to get towels from the front desk to use at the pool. The front desk was not very friendly when asking for towels. Towards the end of our trip we figured out to ask housekeeping for towels. Rene at housekeeping was super fun and high energy. Chipper gal that was very polite. Front desk staff could use some customer service training. Plenty of good places to eat nearby. Britt’s across the street is very good. Foxy’s is good. We went down by John’s pass to Crabbys and it was good. Or the Conch as well. Precious was wonderful! So nice and courteous. Publix and Walgreens are right there to get some groceries for our room. We had a small fridge and the room was stocked to use dishes of all kinds. The rooms are a little dated but were clean! Loved the music by the Tiki Bar! Music does play from 12-8pm so if you don’t want loud music make sure to get a huge away from the main pool. We loved the music. Tons of things to do. Walk the concrete path and watch a sunset, kids area in the sand with toys, ping pong, corn hole game, etc. We have been there twice now. We would go back.

A really fun place to stay and play. The Plaza has a cool retro 1950s vibe. Enjoyed the live music, tiki bar and volleyball!

This small, quite, friendly and clean boutique hotel is an amazing gem located on the north side of Clearwater Beach. You will find warm and welcoming staff, easy parking, a convenient location and access to plenty of new and comfy Tommy Bahama beach chairs, beach umbrellas and boggie boards. We loved the large and roomy suites at Avalon and were even able to get into our 3 bedroom gulf front suite early by 12 noon, a wonderful suprise. Plus we were able to obtain an extra parking pass for our party. The beach is steps away and lovely, no where near as crowded as you will find at the larger resorts on the south end. We have stayed at nearly all the larger resorts on the beach and have now found our favorite location at The Avalon Club. We will be repeat patrons for years to come!!

Liked that beach access is right across street! Many restaurants in walking distance!

We had a penthouse unit. It was very roomy with walls of glass The only downfall was the tiny one sink bathroom. We considered moving to another hotel just for that reason
