"We booked this geodesic dome because we were traveling to Bluefield for a memorial service and hoped it would be a quiet, secluded place to decompress during an already difficult weekend. Unfortunately, we could not stay there at all.We had paid for early check-in, but when we arrived, the property was clearly not ready for guests. There were hundreds of flies inside, water on the bathroom floor and in the shower pan, a wet towel and washcloth left on the floor, and a used bathrobe lying around....

The hotel has great architecture and the staff is super friendly. It’s clean overall, but my main issue is that the facilities are pretty outdated. I stayed in a room right by the elevator that’s separated by a wooden wall, and it was really noisy. The air conditioner wasn’t working either; I couldn’t control the temperature from the panel in my room and had to ask the front desk to adjust it. Even after they made changes, the temperature still didn’t budge.

Clean and large room, clean and large bathroom the only things we set the AC at 70 and over night it got soooo hot which make me suspect they turn the AC down or change setting overnight but in the morning was moved to 69 after we start motions in the room .

Great place to stay. I booked through Expedia and used my points. Check in the Gentleman was very nice. Breakfast was good. Room and place very clean. They were doing some construction and the didn’t effect me.
A couple of things I would like to mention. I booked the room after 12pm at night so chances are it wouldn’t have been used. I would not have paid over $220 +tax to stay. I couldn’t get my Hilton rewards because I booked with a third party like I was doing something evil! That left ...
