Better options elsewhere
Great location. Dated facilities. Requested for late check out but was informed that it will be charged by the system automatically. Given the state of the rooms and the price, there are better options in the area that can provide simple things like late checkout.

Cockroach in the room
Staff were very friendly, but the condition of the hotel is quite poor. Electrical sockets were in places that were unusable Closet was inside the bathroom. Some of the lights was not possible to turn off. But worst of all, the cockroach I complained about immediately after check in, was never cleaned. I ended up checking out early and moving to another hotel.

brought my hairdry along this trip but the voltage doesnt support it. Only have one plug so please take note. Will only recommend if you are a young couple. Staff are all very friendly and nice. Its value for money

My 2nd time staying in this hotel. The location is great conveniently located near xmd exit 1. The first time I stayed the hotel was still quite new and sadly this time was a little disappointed with the toilet is abit dirt

Location is very ideal, very near to Ximen station exit 1. Room is pretty big but a few points to note: 1. After room service, the floor is not vacuum; bedsheet are not changed based on our observation. But hotel in room food and drinks given for free very nice gesture. 2. Bath room tub is pretty small for standard room. The standing shower area is small and there is no shower screen or door therefore all water will spill outside of the shower area. Suggest to have shower screen or door. 3. Free breakfast is nice but should have more options for long stayers or give vouchers to nearby cafe. 4. Room cards are given back to hotel staff but upon collecting when return back to hotel, not much verification was done before collecting the room card hence worried for the security and safety of our items in room. But after 3-4th day hotel reception manage to recognize our face and have room card without verification. Suggest to do more verification before giving room card. 5. Very Friendly Front Desk Staff. Very accommodating when arranging for courier delivery.

Really awesome location. Walking distance to ximen station. Rooms are nice and updated. I understand it’s a boutique hotel so they didn’t have room service etc. Free breakfast is not bad. It’s not buffet style which I like so there’s not a lot of food wasted. Will definitely stay here again and letting friends and family know about this gem to stay in when they visit Taiwan.

Location is great. Really close to mrt station and bus stop. Staff really nice and enthusiam. The real building look small but the room was not. Will be back again for sure.

Very convenient location! Near everything: a few minutes walk from the presidential palace and Ximending, the mecca of shopping. Also very close to all forms of transportation. Extremely friendly staff. The room is on the small side with no closets. However, the location is quiet and convenient. Overall, very impressed. Would stay here again.

This location of this hotel is superb! It's close to the center of attractions but far enough from foot traffic and noise. Customer service is good. This hotel is a blast from late 80s/early 90s. There were attempts to up keep but fallen a little short. Below are list of things I dislike about the hotel: 1. The musty smell in all the rooms due to the dampness (am not surprised if there is issues with mould on the other side of the false ceiling) 2. Low false ceiling (pictures supplied by hotel hide the false ceiling) 3. Rooms are rundown - there were visible signs of water damage on the wall panels. 4. Step at the entrance to room. It's a Hazzard - I trip over it 5. Hotel does not allow guest to carry the room key out of the premises. It's managed like the old school student dormitories. Hope this helps

Excellent choice 1 min from Ximending
Hotel is small but well equipped. Beautiful bathroom. Huge jetted tub, with a tv! Rainfall shower, view over the city. Room was comfortable and extremely clean. Bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was ok but would go out instead next time. 1 min walk from Ximen station, but away from the craziness and noise of Ximending so still quiet and calm. Would definitely stay again.

Second time staying in the hotel with indoor personal Jacuzzi. Really love the Jacuzzi which can fit 2 person easily and with TV. Shower is just beside the Jacuzzi so you can take bath after that. Room is spacious and large - alot of walking space. Less than 5 mins walk from Exit 1 Ximen station. Will be always our designated hotel stay in Taipei. Breakfast is fixed and not much variety. But is really nice and tasty.

It is about 5min walk to Ximen station Exit 1. Spotted a stain on the mattress cover, they changed it immediately. Love the hotspring tub concept in the washroom, differentiate itself from other 3 stars hotels with its great service and lovely breakfast.

Hotel location was quite good, easily accessible. Staff was friendly and helpful, they really go extra mile to help me find 1 particular brand of Maggie Mee which I can't find anywhere. Not only the staff help me check the nearest store that sell, he even call to ensure they have stock n printed out Google Map for me. Really impressed with his service, which I will book the same hotel for future trip too.

We had an amazing stay here at Burgary Hotel. The service was amazing -- the employees were always eager to help and always smiling. The room and sheets were all clean, amenities and toiletries were provided. Only complaints are that their wi-fi is on and off and can be slow a lot of the time, and that the breakfast choices are very limited. But for the price of our stay, it was more than worth the price. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family, and would stay here again! The location of the hotel is also great, a 2-3 minute walk from Ximen station and Ximending shoppping area.

Amazing hotel near Ximending
Walking distance to Ximending. Hotel is clean and beautiful. Love the scent of the hotel, smell so refresh and relax. Definitely going back there for my year end visit. Side note: the hotel is doing some renovation work and will be completed within 3 months I guess. Not a major renovation. Do check out with the hotel staffs on the actual completion date.

Value for money superior hotel
Hotel staff were very attentive and friendly. Hotel room was clean and spacious! Location is near ximen mrt exit 1 so it's very accessible to shopping and food. Overall, this hotel is rated 3 stars but felt like 5 stars! Will definitely go back to this hotel if I am going to Taipei.

the hotel is few steps away from xiemin art exit 1. its not new but well maintained. staffs were great on both front office and breakfast area.
