Le terrain est agréable avec sa petite rivière. L'emplacement est dans les bois, au calme, et avec des voisins sympathiques! Organisation de Richard impeccable. The cabin is beautiful, and it was comfortable, clean, and well-stocked. There were plenty of cooking supplies and extra blankets. We had six people (4 adults and 2 kids), and everyone had a comfortable place to sit in both the living room and kitchen (and out by the fire pit). Everyone said their bed was comfortable, which is rare in cabins. We also took advantage of the fact that the Appalachian Trail went right by the house. They say it’s a ten minute walk to it. It’s more like 3\. It was shockingly close. And it’s a part of the trail with lots of great views (not just walled in by trees for miles like sections closer to Springer Mountain). However, the details on the website are VERY miss leading. There is NO mountain view, the fishing pind is is very small with only 4 trout and NO Fishing. The decor was very nice.Beds were comfortable.The porches were awesome.There was a pond on the property stocked with rainbow trout. They were beautiful.The exceptions:Pictures on website are misleading. The photos give you the perception that you’re on somewhat level ground for the most part. Not even close. If you’re not careful pulling onto the property, you can have serious issues getting out. Steep incline and poor gravel surface can create a traction issue. If you’re not driving a four wheel drive, you could get stuck. We parked along the side (less sloped area) of the driveway. We did not have any issues. We backed into that spot daily, to avoid the slope of the main entrance. Mobility scooter was useless on the property.While showering the first night, 2 minutes into the shower, we lost hot water. We could get it back briefly, only to loose it again and again, which became a nuisance. Texted owner, who sent plumber out next afternoon. Which did not resolve the problem. The issue was continuous our entire stay.
