Being handicap, there was a lack of assistance from staff to accommodate and lack of consideration for needs. There was a conference starting in the time frame of our stay and the staff seem to have been concerned with catering to their needs. Was out by the pool 2 diff afternoons and we weren't offered any service for drinks or food, even though there were staff constantly walking by and delivering to others. The friendliest people of the whole lodge were actually working the pool towel station, very courteous and gracious Rented golf cart for entire stay, only to find our that I couldnt even drive it to the handicap parking for the beach area. We werent told of this either until we turned to go into the parking lot and the cart immediately cut off, because gps registered it as off property, which we were not. Then we were stuck on a very steep embankment with vehicles behind us. This was very hazardous and scary being handicapped and unable to get off and try and remove from roadway. This lodge is not affiliated with the Margaritaville part of Lanier islands. Lodge was fairly clean, I found a nasty moldy towel under our towel rack under the sink that appeared to have been there for awhile, grounds were immaculately kept. Nice paths for walking, vending didnt work properly on several floors. Food menu and choices were very sub-par.
