The room was immaculate. Cindy and her daughter take special care of this property. Really close to Helen but far enough away to have a bit of peace and quiet with the family. My wife and I two young children absolutely loved the yard and catching lightning bugs in their meadow. Also brought my Golden Retrievers a great place to stay.
Loved the customized decor of the room. Comfortable and quiet. Loved the hospitable owner/ host, Cyndi. Dog friendly with huge mowed backyard to walk our dog. Convenient location and great restaurant on site.

Liked: Staff & service
Very friendly and helpful staff. (Cindy) Accommodated our last minute booking. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Quiet even though located right off the highway. Shower curtain & towels/rags very worn out and in need of replacing. Dog hair everywhere but again we booked last minute so kinda understand there may not have been time for a better cleaning. Very convenient to Helen if you’re visiting the area!
It exceeded our expectations! Cutest suite ever! It felt like we were in a cabin. It had everything we needed. The bed was so comfy! The staff couldn’t have been nicer! We will definitely stay there again!!
We enjoyed our two nights stay here. It was very clean, had everything we needed, very close to Helen. Check in and out instructions were very clear. Communication was very good. We had a bottle of wine as a welcome gift, which was a plus. We are very satisfied and can recommend Nacoochee Valley Lodge to everybody.
The owner is very hands on and we enjoyed our stay. The room has a great cabin decor and was extremely clean. If you are looking for a place close to Helen, then this is a great alternative to staying downtown.
They have a small fridge and microwave and supply you with a few kitchen supplies.
Note that while it looks like a cabin - it is not a cabin- it is more of a motel format and sits very close to a busy highway. The road noise does slow down at night so it did not keep us awake.
The beds could use a bit of updating-but were not so uncomfortable that we could not sleep.
Overall- we think it was a great value.
Absolutely AMAZING stay!!!! We have already recommended this location to three of our closest friends and we will definitely be back. Already thinking about planning a Fall trip to this exact location and stay. Cindy was great and answered all the questions that we had. She recommended locations to eat and entertain. The lodge was extremely clean, clutter free, and the beds were comfortable. 5**********s all the way!
We enjoyed our stay, it was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was a great place to start the daily adventures from and relax at night afterwards. We highly recommend it! Each suite even gets their own hiking stick!!
We had a wonderful stay at Nacoochee Valley Motel! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and peaceful, and the surroundings were beautiful. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend!
Excellent place to stay just outside of Helen or if you are planning to go to a few wineries. The staff at next door, DugOut restaurant, were fantastic also.
The room was so clean and cozy. I loved the grassy area out back and the fire pit that we definitely would've used if we'd had more time. I also appreciates the touches of the tea, hot chocolate, marshmallows, coffee and water bottles. If we come back through, we'll definitely stay here!
We stayed in the Big Horn room. It was very clean the shower pressure was great. There are two beds in the room. It would be great for a family with small children. We were not able to take advantage of the fire pit area because of the weather but would have weather permitting. The location is great not far from Helen and hiking areas. Would definitely stay there again.
