We enjoyed the place! The kids loved playing and walking around on the property. We also enjoyed walking up to the restaurant one night when we were hungry and didn't feel like packing up the whole family to go out. The kids appreciated the hot chocolate too! Thanks!

Room is cozy, well appointed and has the amenities any traveler would need for a home away from home stay. Before arrival we were provided with the necessary code to enter and begin our vacation free of intervention from a front desk or otherwise. Decorated for the holidays, the room says “this was the right choice” we truly enjoyed this stay. Although we didn’t bring our pet, the next time we visit we may just do so because of the room’s appointment with a back porch and a way out into the acreage behind the lodge for pet exercise. Conveniently located to Helen and other Appalachia locations.

Well photos on website showing gated entry are not correct.. this is an older motel with six rooms which has been updated with some log siding not an actual lodge.. bed was to be king but was more like a queen .. room was clean and decorated nicely .. had a nice area for my fur baby to go out so that was a plus .. was conveniently located to Helen so overall not bad stay

It’s a beautiful set up with king sized bed, a living room, a bar to sit at, a kitchen area with sliding doors leading to a deck. It was so warm and inviting. Great colors, beautiful wood and well supplied.

Wonderful

This is the place to stay when going up in the Helen area. The rooms are large,well appointed and have special personal touch. You are greeted by the owners, who are friendly and happy to take time to speak with the guest. The motel is off the main drag, so it's quiet. I am looking forward to going back.

Very nice place to stay! Near Helen but away from busy downtown : ) The Dugout restaurant has great food and great service, recommend the Dugout to all! Noticed a lot of local folks picking up takeout - a good sign for good food!
