"Since we had 4WD, the road was not a problem but I would not recommend 2WD, especially when the road is wet. The cabin is private and the kitchen was very cute. The hot tub was wonderful. The sofa was not very comfortable and there was no place to set a drink while you were sitting on it. The stairs to the bedroom are very dangerous and we had one close call on them. The cabin was clean with the exception of the tub. When we turned the jets on, we noticed a pink sludge coming out of the jets. Needless to say, we switched to showers for the rest of the stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

"Its an amazing property with everything you'll need for your stay. Its private with surrounding foliage. Slept with the shade open to see the fireflies as i fell asleep and morning sun to wake. We had an amazing visit! We visit the Gorge frequently and will be back! Highly recommend!"

"The cabin is very small and cute. It was clean and worked great for my little family. I would say my only complaint is the road to the cabin was horrible huge holes from people spinning out trying to get up the hill. If your in a small car I wouldn't get this cabin unless you don't mind walking up and down the hill. There is a small parking at the bottom of the hill but it will fill up fast then you have to park at Martin folks parking area and pay for a parking pass. Also this is right next to the nada tunnel and the rough trail so it's a great location to hike. However there was several issues in nada tunnel from people getting stuck because it's one way and people would go through even though there were cars coming and the backup traffic horribly, it caused an accident and many problems this was happening pretty much every time we tried to get out ended up stuck setting on the side of the road for multiple hours. Just waiting on people to clear the cars from the tunnel and let backed up traffic go. Granted this was only the case on Friday and Saturday during our stay. I would say plan driving trips during the week and hike from the cabin on the weekend. Just know the Martin parking area fills up fast on the weekend so hopefully there is space to park at the resort. If your in a non 4 wheel drive car I would recommend the bungalow cabin at the bottom of the resort."

"This cabin was your basic cabin. I think that the expectation when staying here is that you are back to nature and probably out exploring it instead of hanging around the cabin. There is nothing fancy in this cabin but it definitely met our needs. There were several televisions with DISH service but we did not even turn them on.I must remind myself going forward to check for the things that are NOT listed because they are just as important as the things that ARE listed. We did not have wifi and at first was a little disappointed…not for long. Didn’t really need it. We had some cellular reception most of the time. The owner/host is not to blame for me not knowing. I, of course, did not read carefully. Wifi was not listed in the amenities. Again, make sure to look for what is NOT listed. (Not the first time I have done that. LOL)I am not sure that it is listed in the description but there are 38 steps to enter the cabin. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and feel that if you are accustomed to rustic conditions, this is a good value."
