Welcome to the Original Shipping Container Cabin in the heart of Red River Gorge! This beautiful, unique cabin is hand crafted and fully equipped for a perfect, relaxing stay in the gorge. It has amazing views of the cliff lines out of the huge floor to ceiling windows and a view of the private fire pit.

The cabin features two bedrooms, both with king beds, and a full bathroom with walk in shower. The living room has a large leather sectional and ottoman and 55 inch television, Spectrum TV, and high speed WiFi. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, dishes, and cooking utensils. The cabin is climate controlled (Air Conditioning and Heat) and has city water. There is a covered porch with chairs to enjoy the view and relax outside even if it’s raining. Outside the cabin is a nice private patio with a fire pit, chairs, and a hot tub! The road to the cabin is paved making access to the cabin easy. The cabin is close to everything in Red River Gorge!

  • Standing under the Natural Bridge in Slade Kentucky. Its namesake natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years. The park is approximately 2,300 acres (9 km2) of which approximately 1,200 acres (5 km2) is dedicated by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves as a nature preserve. #Nature

  • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

Loved everything about this property and it has inspired us to consider building one for our next chapter in life (retirement). Terrific location, beautiful inside and out. Thoroughly enjoyed spending time by the fire after long day of hiking, slept great on the very comfy and cozy bed. We brought our own groceries and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves. Super clean and just the right size for us.

The cabin is exactly like its pictured, clean and comfortable, directions were easy to follow. Amazing internet. Beautiful views. I would recommend just a few things for future guests. I tend to forget small things, and i always assume that there will be toiletry items and samples of laundry detergent, etc. This is 100 percent my fault but these things are not provided so double check your bags! Also, if you're a couch potato at night, bring your own throw blankets. Again, all things I normally bring and not a critic of the property at all! The accommodations were wonderful! If there is another forgetful middle aged woman reading reviews, hopefully this helps you to know what to pack. The beds were comfortable, water pressure was great, and it was exceptionally clean! Great find and a great cabin!

Perfect place to stay for hikers :)

We came down from Ohio to do a few days of backpacking in the gorge, and this place was the perfect place to get a good night’s sleep before the hike and such a great place to rest and reflect on the hike afterwards. Amanda was wonderful with communication and incredibly friendly. Would recommend for backpackers as a home base and also for anyone doing day hikes! Will be back 100% :)

Weekend getaway for a cpl of moms. The stay could not have been more perfect!! The location was awesome too! It’s right near so many cool things to do, eat, or see. The container cabin was awesome! SO cute, very clean, easy to find and the owners made everything so easy! Would totally come back!
