"I arrived at this hotel a bit prejudiced because of some negative reviews, likely written by people who either didn’t want to pay for what they were getting or simply couldn’t appreciate the place. I have to admit I was wrong — and I apologize for my initial impression. The staff was absolutely wonderful: kind, helpful, and genuinely courteous. The rooms may be a little dated, but they were spotless. I was even given extra towels without having to ask twice. As for the breakfast, anyone claiming it wasn’t good must have had other issues, because it was excellent — fresh and well-organized, with eggs, sausages, yogurt, fresh bread, and more. The location is also perfect: the old town is only about a 15-minute walk away, and the pool was clean and well-maintained. This isn’t a 5-star luxury hotel, but I would happily return for the kindness of the staff, the welcoming atmosphere, and the overall value. Thank you! "

"Clean quiet hotel. Good to see Dog friendly. Really well positioned for both Jacksonville and Mid Southern Florida. Amenities were fine but close to some nice eateries and bars too.A must visit is the nearby splendour of the TPC Sawgrass course which was immaculately presented. Nominal parking fee. Room clean modern and spacious definitely stay again. Only real are to improve was noisy Aircon."

"A clean affordable No Frills room. That alone deserves a good review. However when you factor in the staff, that's what makes it a great review! Look this place is not the Ritz, because quite frankly I stayed there! But I was able to afford a place to lay my head and shower for work when I needed it. Not to mention the staff are all incredibly nice honest hard-working people. Soft clean bed, hot water good pressure! They should have Bruce Campbell as their spokesperson, the hook would be, "Stay the smart way, stay Smart Stay!" And then he cuts like a giant demonic piggy bank in half and a bunch of gold squirts out everywhere because they charge half the price other hotel chains charge on pets. Or something. The point is, it's very nice affordable place to stay."

"Staff was great, always giving a friendly greeting when we passed Breakfast was decent, with options for hot items (waffles, scrambled eggs, toast choices) and cold cereal, yogurt, juices. The bed was fairly hard, so if you like a firm mattress, you would enjoy this one."
