"The concierge was excellent, everyone was very friendly and helpful. At times the restaurant’s servers could be a little more attentive. We were somewhat disappointed with the beach, the area was much too small and just too much seaweed. Excellent pool area, and lots of activities throughout the day. Overall, an enjoyable stay and I would return, despite being unable to get a little earlier check in."

"I would never recommend this property. It is dated and worn out. The food was terrible and yet somehow everything tasted the same. We couldn’t even try some of the restaurants on property because they were either closed or no reservations available. The 2 hot tubs we saw were filthy and damaged. Snorkeling from the beach was literally the only redeeming quality for this resort. This experience was so bad that I wouldn’t trust any Couples Resort moving forward. If you are looking for a quiet and romantic experience, this is not the property for you…LOUD music every single night late into the night. The beach was dirty. There really was nothing good about this place aside from what we got to see while snorkeling just beyond the beach area. "

"I don’t know where to begin! My family of six adults and two small children could not have had a better experience. We just completed a fever dream of a week in this beautiful villa, doted on by an incredibly professional,caring and attentive staff. Chef Wong sent us home wanting every single recipe to his outstanding meals! We never wanted to eat out! As if the property itself wasn’t perfect, the staff was the chef’s kiss! Pepe made the best rum drinks and was the perfect host. Sophia kept the whole house in order and Bryan and Dwayne kept the property always looking its best. If we ever come back to Jamaica, we will return to Brown Shuggah! Anna and Daniel were fabulous communicators and they will always steer you in the right direction when it comes to activities, drivers and amenities! Thank you for the most relaxing and rewarding trip! "

"Perfect Location and Excellent Hosts! "Our stay at Avant Family Villa was absolutely great. The location is great — quick drive to Ocho Rios’ top attractions like Dunn’s River Falls, Dolphin Cove, and Mystic Mountain, as well as several beautiful local beaches. ​The villa itself offers everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a private community pool and beach access. Having a supermarket, pharmacy, Bank Cambio/ATM and restaurant right on-site made our trip so much easier.
