We went kayaking on Long Pond twice and it was good to be so close. Also surprised that there was some swimming at the north end of Long Pond which was a nice surprise. Plenty of areas to walk around even riding bikes for the kids! Walking distance to flying Mountain Trail which was one of our favorites. The host was super helpful and very quick to respond to messages or request. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Acadia. It was nice staying away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor but still close enough to go back multiple times in a day if needed or wanted. Lots to do nearby and yummy restaurants also!
