"We had a wonderful time during our stay! The Octagon was clean and spacious! This was the perfect home to relax and unwind! We enjoyed the game room. We had great star viewing each night on the deck. The large fire pit was perfect for s’mores! We enjoyed exploring the land; checking out the creek, trails, and pond area. Joe was very responsive with any questions we had leading up to our stay. Just a couple notes and why we didn’t give 5 stars- the rooms were a little less private due to gaps from where the top of the door meets the ceiling. There is no place to store clothing in the bedrooms. Some of the appliances were usable but could use some updating. Also, be careful when showering that no one flushes a toilet in the house- we discovered this stops the shower water and then it turns very hot. The trails were pretty overgrown so we didn’t go very far on the ones we tried to explore."

"My sister and I wanted to explore the PA Grand Canyon on our way to western PA. This little apartment was WONDERFUL as a halfway point. Everything was themed, which we found entertaining, the beds were comfortable. We didn’t use the kitchen, but it would have been adequate had we needed it."

"We had a great Girls’ weekend! It was nice being so close to the rail trail. We did some biking and checked out the Hotel Manor, Slate Run General Store, swam in the creek and went to see a band at The Mountain Top. Perfect weekend, perfect stay and much needed time with perfect friends!! "
