Postcard Cabins Starved Rock, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy

10/10 Excellent

"Clean and cozy"

Grand Bear Resort at Starved Rock

10/10 Excellent

"This was our first visit to Grand Bear with our two older teens. We stayed in a villa wanting the extra space and beds and were blown away by the spaciousness of the villas. It was great having a full kitchen and washer/dryer too. The fireplace on our chilly October mornings and nights was amazing! Our place was clean and comfortable beds, however it does show signs of ware and is in need of a fresh coat of paint and new carpet. We also wanted more blankets but the hotel doesn’t provide them since the units are individually owned. The waterpark was clean with fun slides, lazy river and wave pool for us older kids. Lots of little slides, pool area for toddlers too. We also had fun playing outdoor miniature golf which was challenging, well kept and decorated for Halloween! We also ate at Jacks one night and really enjoyed the food. Highly recommend going and we loved how close it is to the Starved Rock park trails. Beautiful!"

Log cabin on 25 acres

10/10 Excellent

"Upon arrival the check in process was very simple. Shelby was a very responsive host. We were greeted with a very spacious and clean cabin with many amenities. The backyard patio had a nice view with so much nature to take in. The indoor woodstove was also a very cozy amenity. Definitely a stay that I would do all over again."

Dog-Friendly Log Home On Fox River IL Near Starved Rock, Porch, Deck, Firepit

8/10 Good

"What a beautiful place! Unfortunately, it rained the entire visit but they've made this a very homely place with alot of indoor activities to do! My favorite place was the porch, watching the hummingbirds as the rain fell! The owners we're extremely helpful and communicative. My husband had an accident on the property and they were nothing but kind and caring! We ended up in the ER the day of our departure and they didn't rush us out by allowing us to stay as long as we needed that day! Would absolutely visit again! Even our old man dog enjoyed the pet friendly home!"

Indoor Pool Retreat Near Chicago: Sleeps 16, Hot Tub, Sauna, 5BR/4BA

10/10 Excellent

"This place is absolutely amazing! So clean, so welcoming, and so unique and fun! The children raging in ages from baby to 12 years old had everything they needed and will never forget this vacation! There are not one but two pack and plays so the baby and the toddler’s parents did not have to pack their in already full vehicles or set them up and take them down which made arrival and leaving so much easier! The swimming pool had a little swim raft for the six month old and water squirters, floaties, swim toys and plenty of beach towels. The hot tub was big enough for several people to sit in and talk, and the temperature was adjustable. The children had so much fun exploring the house and excitedly calling to the parents to “Come look at this!”The large attic bedroom has two closets that have a window and a window seat so this grandma now has happy memories of sitting in a little cozy secret room reading books with my grandchildren and playing hide and seek up and down all three levels. There are two refrigerators, and there are two ovens! With multiple families bringing coolers of food we really appreciated that! The appliances are state-of-the-art- the fridge talks and plays music! The beds and pillows are clearly updated because they are quite comfortable. The enormous and comfortable sofa fit our whole group in a format that allowed conversation and laughter to flow easily all around while the children sat in the middle coloring around the large coffee table. Private 200-Acre Estate Near Starved Rock

10/10 Excellent

"The space was exactly what we needed for a bachelorette party of 12 people. The communal space was perfect for meals and games. It was actually larger than I expected from the photos. There were plenty of places for everyone to sleep comfortably. Everything was labeled for ease of use: switches, drawers, etc. The porch space was so beautiful and we loved gathering for s'mores around the fire pit. We did a float trip in Oglesby so we were beyond lucky to find such a perfect house close by. Ryan and Kiki were so easy to contact and quick to respond. Great experience overall!"
