It looks elegant from the outside and the front desk people are friendly and engaging. It was generally quiet throughout the building despite a conference going on there at the time. There are two restaurants which are subpar. The main restaurant was only open during noon hours and up through 2:30. I walked in there during these times and was never served so I left. The food is mediocre at best and the breakfast was terrible and largely inedible. There are also limited choices nearby. I won't be back.

The property is located in a good spot, not too far from downtown, and away from most of the noise and bars. Staff is very friendly and professional.

Staff from the time we checked in till the time we left (3 days) were very nice and accommodating (allowed us late checkout for nite flight). The breakfasts were excellent, room big and comfortable, housekeeping super....would I stay here again-defnite YES!!!

We had a wonderful experience staying at Regency Angkor. The customer service was excellent and we were fortunate to check-in early after our long haul flight. We were provided a cold towel and bottle of water from our Airport Pickup driver which was a very nice touch. The staff took initiative to explain to us the location of the hotel and offer tips on where to visit during our stay. The room/pool/spa were also in a great condition. The buffet breakfast had a great range of choices. We recommend this hotel to fellow travelers.

Great value but a little outside of the city centre. This probably does not matter too much if all you plan to do is visit wats.

We could see rubbish in garbage bags piles up on the other side of a wall near the pool when you look out from the smelly hall way window. Twice the waiters brought us the wrong cocktails which always tasted like margaritas because they had poor english. The breakfast catered well for all the noisey Chinese guests with most selections for them. We were never offered bacon for breakfast but got by. We tried to organise a free hotel pick up from the airport as advertised on the day we were to arrive but couldn't get through to the phone. We contacted expedia who didn't organise this/get through either. We got a free transfer from hotel to airport but only because we asked. The hotel staff could have emailed us via expedia to offer us a transfer before the stay, that would have given us a good first impression. The pool was nice. The water fountain in the front was only on one morning during our stay and looked great during that brief time it was on.

My stay at the Recency Angkor was AMAZING. The staff was super friendly, I got a room upgrade without even having to say anything as they didn't have the room I originally booked. The breakfast was fantastic. My friends got married here and the hotel put on an absolutely beautiful ceremony and reception! If I get the chance to come back I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel and service
We stayed for a week as we visited Siem Reap to see Angkor Wat and the other surrounding temples. All of the hotel staff were incredibly helpful, courteous, and friendly. Our next door neighbors were a little loud on the first night of our stay and the hotel front desk clerk was very understanding and helpful in moving us to a different room for the rest of our stay. The hotel is clean, well maintained, and the rooms are very comfortable. The concierges were always willing to assist us with transportation and restaurant reservations when we went out. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Siem Reap.

The hotel was great, location wise a little away from main town center. Sengy, who met us when we arrived, greeted us with politeness and gave a warm welcome. He was very knowledgeable and guided us well towards various activities. He even got us a guide to the Angkor Wat temples in spite of the busy tourist season.

Good hotel but in needs for renovation
A slight disappointment during our trip through Vietnam and Cambodia. the Regency Angkor Hotel had lots of potential but is, unfortunately, showing its age. The decoration is what it is, taste is subjective but I would say it is dated compare to nowadays standards. Condition of the room is the same, definitely very clean and we had no problem sleeping there, but walls showed some damages, paint chipped, bathroom seals are old. Then the swimming pool was just decent. Long chairs were dirty and old again, jacuzzis were not working and the water inside looked dirty (as if it has been there for too long). We did not mind so much as we only used this hotel to sleep at night and were out most of the time, also the price was reasonable compare to others. Our room also happened to be on the ground floor, just facing the bar. It had been a little bit noisy because of that. Breakfasts had also been a disappointing experience, the room is huge but the number of people was overwhelming. Automatically, there was not enough tables for everyone, people started to get aggressive and waiters were overwhelmed.

Very nice place to stay, the staff can't do enough for you. Didn't get PU at the airport as organised, but they cheerfully dropped us off instead. Highly recommended. Lovely walk in pool. Extensive choice at breakfast. Reasonably priced food in the restaurant.

Had a terrible check in. Not the fault of the hotel but of Hotels.com. I had booked 2 rooms but they were intimidated for just one. Even though it was high season they managed to get me a better room in the same floor by evening.

A great place to relax
We had a lovely time staying at this hotel during the holiday season (Christmas). They decorated the entire hotel and drew crowds (and the media) for their elaborate display. All the employees were gracious and respectful. We received our room relatively quickly and were delighted to find a room that was very clean and very comfortable. It's a two to three dollar tuktuk ride to Pub Street, depending on the time of day (and willingness to negotiate). Sleeping peacefully is very important to me - and this place delivers! The pool is very well maintained, but jacuzzi (?) adjoining the pool had many dead insects inside...so no one used it. Some other ways they can improve: I tried to arrange for an airport shuttle pick-up, but no one answered my online inquiry. There is an airport taxi service that is inexpensive. However, the hotel transport van did drop us off at the airport. Also, the bath tub has no curtain, which meant that one of the tiles along the tub had sunken in. I think the breakfast buffet could improve on offerings, but the noodle soup station is fantastic! The restaurant is just 3/5.

I loved it all. Service was excellent. Staff is polite, friendly, helpful, kind. I regret I haven't booked for longer stay as I loved there so much. I will highly recommend this hotel to all people I know and my friends and family. I was highlight of my 3 weeks traveling trough South East Asia.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great and the breakfast selection superb. The hotel provided complimentary transport from the airport, and iffered a range of options for visiting Angkor Wat and surrounds. The pool was a blessing in the heat of the day! The room was comfortable. All in all a great place to stay

Nice stay there with comfortable room.
We stayed 4 nights. Booking package included airport pickup but nobody came. They agreed to drop off to airport instead. Air con was not working but quickly fixed. Due to low season restaurant was quiet and slow services. However once we complainted they improved immediately. We enjoyed time in Siem Reap.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly, they even organised a day tour of Angkor Wat for us! The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast options were amazing and the swim up pool bar very well stocked! Highly recommend this hotel!!

The hotel and staff were hard to fault. I stayed for three nights, breakfasts were good, Had dinner a couple of times, food was excellent. Facilities are good, but not a great deal to do around about hotel. A tuktuk into town was only two dollars. I would certainly recommend it.

Hotel is amazing. Pool is great. Location is a bit far from the center but you can take tuk tuk for $2 each way. Nothing really is in walking distance to the hotel. Airport pick up was perfect once i managed to book it! They offer one way free airport pick up, but its really difficult to find an email address to contact them once u book your hotel. They really should give you instructions to this once you book. Airport drop off is $12 or you can take tuk tuk for $6. I had a morning flight and toom tuk tuk it was great and not too hot at all.

I have no complaints about this hotel. The staff was great, the facilities were nice, my room was clean, and the breakfast was delicious! I was a lone traveler and the smallest room they had seriously can fit a family of 6. It was sooo big! I enjoyed my stay here, it was very easy to get to the Pub Street and also on the way to Angkor Wat. Great place to get picked up from to do your tours. I was so pleased with this hotel and the price I paid for. I will stay here again and definitely recommend this place to a lone traveler or a family =)

Hotel is such a great value for what you get. The room is very spacious, A/C works splendidly, bed and bedding are super comfy, bathroom offers both shower and tub, balcony is a nice perk. Pool was nice but I didn't get a chance to use it, the locker room is large and nice to be able to use if you've already checked out and came back from Angkor Wat. Lots of tour groups come through so it does get a bit loud and crowded in the common areas. Complimentary buffet breakfast was wonderful. The paid lunch in the dining area had terrible service but the food was good, but you can get it cheaper if you head to Pub Street. Tuk tuk drivers are waiting out in front so that's super convenient. Hotel is located closer to Angkor Wat than Pub street.
