Attractive old house close to seafront. I had to share a bathroom, but as the house wasn't full this didn't present a problem.

Good selection buffet breakfast. Great access to New Forest open country right from the hotel.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here at The Raven and it certainly won't be the last. The staff are all fantastic, friendly, helpful, and even though they are all busy they are all really cheerful and take time to interact with you. Yes, admittedly the rooms look a little tired and dated, but they are clean, have everything you need and more importantly I sleep like a log here as the bedding is lovely and the beds extremely comfortable. Plus, staying on my own here as a female traveller, I felt extremely safe and at no point felt uncomfortable. As long as you give your registration number when you check in, parking is free, and there is a big car park with plenty of space. Quality of sleep is the most important thing anywhere you stay, and that coupled with the outstanding staff, makes The Raven a great place to stay
