"Great location and view. I’m a light sleeper so I did struggle because you hear every little thing in this hotel. Breakfast was not the best but it’s the U.P., so it actually exceeded expectations."

"As a handy man I noticed a few things that could be done to put final touches on. That said our stay was incredibly enjoyable. The yard is fern coated with baby maples and oaks spread around older tree. Reminded me of home. Lots of wildlife to listen to as they forage and seek cover beneath the ferns. Host was quick to respond to inquiries and courteous. Hot tub was well maintained and cabin was very clean. Comfortable furnishings and atmosphere. Great value and well worth.For the host only critiques would include shower handle isn't very responsive. Windows need attention for good repair. Replace screen and tracks. A note for the front windows that are spring loaded. I was afraid it might be damaged when it shot open. Bathroom window has a small opening that exposes insulation. Thats a prime spot for mold with the shower. Perhaps a small enclosure for the rear of the stove and heater to protect the gas lines. None of this hurts the experience however and you provided a wonderful time for me and mine. God bless and guide you."

"Pros:Nice bedrooms, stocked kitchen, access to laundry, homey touchesTo be aware:This property is not secluded. You are very close to owner's cabin and other rentals. Laundry is in shared, attached garage that is accessed during your stay. The lock does not work well so we had to manually lock and unlock during our stay. This meant going through the garage which had an entry to the house. Firepit and seating areas are shared.This place would be great for large families with children and pets. The kayaks and other equipment were easy to access. You can tell they are doing lots of work to the property to make improvements."
