Welcome to Tres Puertas (Three Doors), where you can enjoy a classic Santa Fe experience. The home has an illustrious history and is a State of New Mexico registered cultural property. This exceptional example of Territorial architectural style was built in the 1880’s by Juan Holmes, a Santa Fe County sheriff, when the West was wild. Authentic adobe and beautifully renovated, this is the perfect downtown location, just three blocks from the Plaza with its museums, restaurants, shopping, and art galleries scattered at the Plaza and Canyon Road.

You will find a light and bright living room with high ceilings, a stunning kiva fireplace and beautiful works of art. Skylights adorn the comfortable dining room and well-appointed kitchen that has new stainless steel appliances, authentic Talavera tile, and all the cooking equipment you will need to create and serve a delicious meal. The spacious master suite includes a king size bed, television, its own kiva fireplace and a beautifully tiled bathroom with walk-in shower. The guest bedroom includes a queen-sized bed beneath viga ceilings, television, and its own bathroom with tub/shower combination, and laundry facilities. The home is air-conditioned and has wood and Saltillo tile floors throughout. Lovely, private, and spacious courtyards are shaded with mature landscaping. The comfortable furniture, gas grill, dining table, and brick pavers invite a wonderful outdoor dining and entertaining experience. This 1,579+ square foot home includes two off-street parking spaces.
Tres Puertas sits in an older established neighborhood, just 3 blocks northeast of Santa Fe’s historic downtown plaza. It’s a five minute stroll to a myriad of fine dining establishments, museums, fine art galleries and a shopper’s paradise of original boutiques. Seasonally, the Plaza is home to several famous international artist markets including Indian Market and Spanish Market. Canyon Road, famous for its historic adobe architecture and over 100 fine art galleries in a half-mile stretch, is a few blocks southeast of the home. Outdoor adventure abounds, with the Santa Fe Ski Basin only 12 miles up the mountain. In minutes, you are surrounded by the Santa Fe National Forest with its glorious hiking trails and opportunities for fishing, biking, and aspen vistas. The world class Santa Fe Opera is located 10 miles north. Ancient pueblo ruins surround Santa Fe, such as Bandelier National Monument, Taos Pueblo, Acoma Pueblo’s Sky City, and Pecos National Monument, all within an hour’s drive. Friends enjoying Santa Fe
Two of us travelled from the heat of the SW to spend a few days in cooler Santa Fe. We wanted to be able to walk to the Plaza, restaurants, shops and Canyon Road. We were able to from this location. The place was plenty spacious for the two of us. We were able to take in the Opera and the International Folk Festival. A starter of coffee would have been nice for the first morning and a couple more wash clothes. Other than that the unit had all we needed and more. Really enjoyed our 4 day stay.

This property is charming, has a great location that’s walkable to downtown or Canyon Road and at the same time feels private. I was lucky to have great weather and spent most of my time exploring downtown Santa Fe and the galleries of Canyon Road and my car didn’t have to leave the driveway. If you’re looking for a historic home with beautiful decor that’s close to the best that Santa Fe has to offer, this is it.

Lovely Santa Fe Stay!
This is a fabulous property. The floor plan is perfect for two couples. It is comfortable, beautifully appointed and full of interesting art. The location makes it very easy to get anywhere in Santa Fe. The property is professionally managed and they make you feel so welcome. Fresh flowers, welcome letter, and tourist info are on the dining table as you enter. We have stayed here twice and would love to stay again. The outside would be nice to enjoy but we have only been in cold weather so we enjoyed the fireplace instead!

Great place!
House was just as described, spacious and very pretty. Chairs and sofa very comfortable, ottomans to put up one's feet after a long day walking and lamps for reading. Beds very comfortable. Porch with rockers great for relaxing with a beer. The Plaza with shops and restaurants was close enough to walk. It was an awesome place to stay.

We were pleasantly surprised by the completeness of the furnishings in both the whole house and the kitchen. The kitchen was as completely furnished as our home including a good variety of spices, dishes and cleaning supplies. The house was warm and cozy and close to downtown. If we come back to Santa Fe we will definitely want to stay here again.

This is an historic home in a marvelous location. It is beautifully appointed and was very comfortable in every aspect. However, I found the host to be pretty unfriendly and not easy to communicate with. The other person I spoke to at Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, however, was lovely.

Perfect!
My longtime college friend enjoyed our stay at Tres Puertas. The home was beautiful, comfortable and clean. The location allowed us to easily walk to the Plaza and Canyon Road and it was only a short drive to Museum Hill. We definitely would stay here again.

Great Location
Loved this place for our annual girls vacation. Easy walk to the Plaza and great outdoor area. Sofa bed needs replacing, it was really hard to pull out and put back together. I would stay at this place again.

The art in the home was amazing! Felt like we were in an art gallery. There were 4 adults in our group and we had loads of room. Very comfortable. So nice when we arrived. The lights were on, a poinsettia was on the table with brochures, maps, literature about Santa Fe and our instructions. We felt very welcome. The house was immaculate. All the dishes, glassware, etc that you would want and the dishes were great colors - like Santa Fe. If it was warm weather we would have loved using the outdoor spaces. Hope we can stay here again.

A delightful VRBO in Santa Fe , Née Mexico
This property was such a great place to stay with a fabulous location going to town . It was decorated with a Santa Fe flair of folk art and Southwestern art , which gave it a cozy and comfortable environment .
