The property has nice tropical landscaping. Staffs around the property were very friendly. Their pool area definitely need some updates. The restaurant food was ok. The restaurant and beverage are supposed to bring big revenue for the hotel, but guests prefer to go somewhere else to spend money and chill instead of hanging at the hotel pool area since there’re nothing interesting to do there. Also it took so long to check in. They have new system and the employees had trouble checking guests in. Our major disappointment is the room. We requested 3 days before we checked in for an ocean view. I even stopped by early in the morning to make sure we got ocean view when our room was ready. However, we got the busy parking lot view. Once I got my room key, I realized it will be facing the parking lot so I requested to pay more for an ocean view or different room next door that will face the ocean from our bed instead of busy parking lot. But the front desk couldn’t accommodate us. It’s not worth it to spend over $600 a night for a busy parking lot view. People came from different places everyday to see the Luau, so imagine how busy it was. After I left the review, the hotel management reached out the next day if we want to move the room. We only have 2 more nights left so it’s not worth to pack everything and move again. I wish they would accommodate me when I offered to pay more before I checked into my room. Why made guests had bad experiences if they can accommodate it!!
