"Allegretto is an excellent place to stay in many ways. I made the reservation there because it is close to the Sensorio light show but didn't know much about the resort. After staying there we are very impressed with the architecture; beautiful lobby, courtyard, and grounds; very comfortable room and bed; art and sculptures throughout; onsite wine and olive oiive oil tasting; good restaurant; helpful staff; and very interesting history of the place. Little did we know how much there is there to do and enjoy. Excellent. Highly recommended."

"We have stayed here a number of times over the years and have enjoyed it. But time has taken its’ toll on this property as it has on many along this part of the coast. For the money I think it is still reasonable, but we will be looking elsewhere."

"We just stayed for a night of a "staycation" at the Ragged Point Inn. I've been to the lovely restaurant there for breakfast and lunch many times and the beautiful walk to the lookout area, but it was my first time staying at the hotel and enjoying dinner. Our room, even though one of the less expensive, had a really nice view and was much larger than I expected. Staff provided a rollaway bed for an extra guest that was very comfortable. We will look forward to another trip there again and highly recommend it. Christianos at Check in was really friendly and helpful."

"Stunning location with beautiful ocean views. The rooms at Sands are quite basic compared to the adjacent Cavalier. The prices (fair) reflect that. As far as I could tell they're one and the same property. Kind of like Toyota is to Lexus! You get full access to all the magnificent amenities whichever one you stay at. Pools, hot tub, restaurant are all excellent. The fire pits situated right on the bluffs are a perfect way to end one's night. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Sands and look forward to returning."
