"For our anniversary, we enjoyed our (unfortunately ONLY) 2-night stay at the Ruby River Hotel. The 5 buildings of this well-appointed 2-story hotel are situated end-to-end and connected through enclosed hallways. "City view" and "Riverview" rooms face as expected. I learned that "Poolside" rooms are near the pools and only on the 1st floor. It was always a pleasant easy walk from our 2nd-floor room, river view #518, over and down to the restaurant. Easy to exit the building to the pool/play/walking trail areas, and all along the long parking lot. Every door is secured, opened only with card key. Everything (bathroom floor edges, etc.) was CLEAN. King Bed(ding) was comfortable, although we would have liked another blanket. Room heater worked well and was not noisy. Bathroom amenities in bulk pump bottles were fine. Loved that we could open the windows for fresh air! The infinity pool (somewhat heated, seems to vary from day to day) and that hot tub were very nice! Only problem, we ran out to the enjoy the chilly calm sunrise in the hot tub 7:45AM, and all pools are closed until 9 AM! Phooey! The restaurant is fine. Good food, but we would love a whole grain hot oatmeal breakfast option. The night we ate there, there was very good live music playing outside. We would have enjoyed eating outside, but the music, as nice as it was, was too loud for us, no matter where on the patio we sat. Sat indoors and we still heard it just fine."

"I had a very pleasant 3-night stay at the Kelowna Conference Centre & Hotel. Joe at the front desk was fantastic and provided excellent service. The room itself was nice and recently updated, with a comfortable king-size bed and good-quality linens. There wasn’t a down comforter, which would have been a nice touch, but for the price, I really don’t think you can beat this hotel. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was the cleanliness of the common areas. Despite the recent renovation, the hallways and elevator were surprisingly dirty and looked like they hadn’t been properly cleaned. I mentioned this to the front desk during my stay, but unfortunately, it was still the same when I checked out three days later. It’s a shame to see such a nice, recently renovated hotel let down by something as basic as keeping the common areas clean. With better attention to housekeeping, this could be a really great place to stay. Overall, good value, a comfortable and updated room, and excellent front-desk service from Joe, but the cleanliness of the hallways and elevator needs attention."

"It’s a beautiful old hotel kept in good shape. The only thing I would say that was not good was the maid service. We were there 3 nights and had to ask for someone to clean the room and give us fresh supplies each day. For a relatively expensive hotel, that shouldn’t have been necessary"
