"Stayed in the annex. It had a/c which was very much needed on the day we stayed. In the 70’s. A/C was on when we entered the room which was great. Good location for boat tours. Good parking. It’s a little over a mile walk to the shopping area. Room was very good and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again in this same room. Unsure if all rooms have a/c or not. "Location was great....easy to walk to shops, restaurants, aquarium and stroll along waterfront trail. We stayed in the Wilderness Suite. Great having a kitchen, nice den area. However, if you plan on anyone sleeping on the futon in the den be aware it is hard a brick. Also double check to make sure linens are in the room for futon....we discovered very late our first frst night there were no linens. Also, as noted by others, it is an old building which we liked, but if you are looking new...

"This was the best place we stayed out of the six hotels of our Alaska trip. Our room was beautifully decorated, spacious, clean, and close to everything in Seward. In addition, it had gorgeous views of Mt Marathon. We could have happily stayed here for weeks. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seward!! "

"The photos of the outside make it look drab but inside it's nice, clean, modern. Staff friendly and helpful. It's on one side of the highway. Be careful not to overshoot it. It is on the right as you come in, down below the highway level. If you drive over to the other side, you are one minute away from the docks and the area where tourists show up at the offices to join their boat tours. Parking on the other side is crowded, though, so give yourself time to find a spot."

"Funky, historic, old Alaska building. If you like to experience a little bit of history, this is your place. You’re not staying in a Marriott, just remember that. The floors creak and the door is thin, but you’re inside a building with a locked entrance door at street level with just six apartments upstairs, so it feels safe.
